How do I tell my mom.. (did something stupid) - November 14th 2011, 10:45 PM

So in order to buy my mum a gift for Christmas, I decided to sell my iPad2. I am a minor, but I did pay for it myself.

I walked where my neighbor and his family were to meet the guy, and I had MASE in my pocket. I mean, I knew that if something went wrong I'd have a family there, and MASE to protect myself.

I haven't told my mom yet, however I feel like I shoudl instead of waiting for the gift to get here.

..HOw do I tell her? I'm afraid she's going to be mad at me for taking THAT big of a risk.. Please please help..

Thanks

RIP To my dog, Max. He was the best friend, I've had him since I was 4. I love you sweetheart, you'll always be in my heart. Life will be hard without you, but I'm so glad you are out of pain.

I met with a stranger that I didn't know personally to sell my iPad.

And I told her.. She's disappointed in me and I feel absolutly dreadful...

I'd be glad that you got out safely though. Keep in mind that this kind of trading is pretty normal nowadays (because of sites like Craigslist) and you took two precautionary measures to make sure nothing happened. The only thing you could have done better is meet in a crowded place, and brought a friend along, but otherwise; it's not like you met a guy in an alley, with no one around, totally defenceless... If you feel really bad about what happened, then I suggest you don't do it anymore, but I really do think you're putting too much pressure on yourself.

Well its good that you wen't prepared and all up like Carpe said don't do it again. I would tell her because eventually she is going to find out, all mothers do.

I'm glad your okay! Its very dangerous to do something like that, but maybe in the future ask a trusted adult (that wont tell your mom of her present plans!) to come with you to help sell the ipad2 at a STORE not to someone on the street. And besides, the quality of the gift wont be as good as it would at a store. Even if your neighbors were there, what do you think they would've been able to do if the guy pulled a gun on you? Jump in front of you?

When someone apologizes enough times for something they'll never stop doing I think its fearless to stop believing them. I think its fearless to say "Your NOT sorry" and walk away.
I have died everyday waiting for you, darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more <3
