My friends don't like the same things that I do -
November 22nd 2011, 01:24 AM
Hi!
My two friends and I don't have much in common, but they still want to hang out. We used to hang out in the seventh and eighth grade, but only at school, rarely outside of school. Now that I've left the school and am now home-schooled, I talk to them on Twitter and Facebook some, but I feel as though we aren't that good of friends anymore. Since the eighth grade, I've changed so much and we don't have anything in common. I know that friends are about being supportive of each other and everything, but it's no fun if we don't like the same things. A few months ago, I went out with them to the movies, but I didn't have much to say at all, none of it was too interesting to me. They seem to think that I've changed for the worse, but they don't even know who I am anymore. I really do not know what to do. Thanks for any help that you can give me, bye! |

Do you see them much anymore? It could be all this time apart has helped to influence these changes and the decline of your friendship. Maybe spending more time together will help. You may not have a lot in common, but I'm sure you can find something that you all can do together.
Sadly friends do grow apart, especially in jr high/high school. Its a bit tricky for you to meet new people and make new friends since you are home schooled now, but that doesn't mean that it is impossible. ![]() Buddy|Live Help Operator|HelpLink Mentor|Social Networking Team Relationships&Dating Mod|Lifestyle Mod|Media&Entertainment Mod Performance Committee |
