Christmas Depression? - December 18th 2011, 08:08 PM

I'm so sad, that Christmas honestly just doesn't mean anything anymore, and it used to be my favorite holiday! Everyone asks what I want and I kind of just put it off, so that its to late to really get anything. Nothing is christmasy this year, there's so much wrong in my family along with a family issue that only I can freaking fix. Im going to fail school. Im so stressed! The ONLY christmas shit we've even attempted is a damn tree. My mother even finally gave up on getting me a present, and its so stupid because I felt sad I wasn't getting anything, but I know I don't deserve anything, so it works out. I feel like I desere the pain so I'm really just kind of letting it consume me. I kind of wished someone would've pushed me harder, actually might have asked why I didn't want anything, cared that something was obviously wrong. I'm just ranting again, if you read it I'm sorry for wasting your time!

Your not wasting my time. I think that we sometimes just get in these moods because of the stress - we feel worthless and we feel like we shouldn't even be here. I think you need to maybe start realizing that you ARE someone. That you DO deserve a present, and that even though your family is going though a tough time that you still have each other. Around the holidays, trees, and presents don't matter - its all about family and spending time with those we love. I think you need to realize that even though your Christmas may not be so great - that atleast you have a family that cares enough to ask you what you want for Christmas, and be happy that you even have a family; because some people don't.

Best wishes,
Chris

Chris
I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...
