Lost Hope - March 26th 2009, 06:27 PM

So, I had this friend who, at one point in time, I dated. We've never met so, it was just a phone/internet kind of dating. I mean, she was the one I would turn to for just about everything. At random points, the distance would tear us apart and it would appear as though we were going to prove everybody right- that we were meant to fail. Several times, she would meet somebody closer to her and I would be cast aside. However, when they'd break up... we would be okay again. Granted, I'm not as innocent as I would like to be. I've usually got somebody close to me as well. Still, I did my best to make time for her. Now, she has somebody and I don't matter again. I'm so close to just saying Fuck You! and being done with it all. But, deep within my heart, I know I would regret it. I've voiced some of this to her but it makes no damn difference. Should I just let her go or keep fighting for somebody I've never met? My heart used to belong to her. Now, it just shatters because I'm not good enough. (or so it would seem.)

*I bleed for you that's why I cut those simple scars are just deep thoughts.
*Take it from someone who's fallen... it's a long way down.
*Rock bottom is good solid ground, and a dead end street is just a place to turn around.

Hi Sammie,

I think you should talk to your friend about this a find out where your relationship stands and if it is one you can both keep up. Relationships have to work both ways, and it sounds like she may not be interested in keeping one up online.

Also, do you think it would be better if you were both just friends? It sounds like you both have other people close that you care about as well and that seems to be coming between you. I think you both need to make a decision and keep up with it. I think you should be honest with her and say how you're feeling about this.

Nat.

The great artists of our time are the ones who created something timeless. But it was never them defining it that way.
