Maybe you could do some outside activities outside school? Like special classes not on campus or a sport? Thats usually a way to meet people and since it isnt at the school, you'd be with totally new people.

Join clubs outside of school, volunteer for new things, get involved in sports - things of that nature. The main thing is be more socially active. You wont build friendships unless you put yourself out there.
