Unhappy Please help! - February 21st 2012, 07:30 PM

My best friend lives a few states away from me and used to always call or text me. Now, we never talk! She said that she wanted to be best friends, but Im not sure she feels the same anymore. It's tearing me apart because we're like sisters! But, I'm afraid to talk to her about it, because she might take it the wrong way...what should I do?

How often do you see her in person? How often do you initiate the communication? It may just be that as you grew apart distance-wise, you grew apart socially as well.

I've had this happen with a friend of mine who moved away as well. And eventually, even though we would text and call each other all the time and even visited in person... we still grew apart. It's just something that can happen. Just try and stay in contact with her as much as possible and try to be understanding if she doesn't contact you everyday.

I agree - sometimes people just grow apart. Its life, and we will lose alot of people we like/love.

I think that you should try to keep in contact, and try to let her know that you still want to be friends (even though its hard being far away). Make sure your stand out as a good friend, and if its meant to be, then the friendship will continue.

Best wishes,
Chris

I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...
