My mum acts like everything is perfect - March 3rd 2012, 09:17 PM

Sometimes it just feels like my mum doesn't care about my feelings or the person I am. Because it always feels like she thinks or wants me to be perfect, but I'm not. I don't even want to be perfect. And if she clearly sees that I'm in a bad mood/upset/sad she just keep doing the same things. Like everything would be fine. I've tried to talk to her, but she just denies everything.

Parents forget what being a kid is about. You must understand, they deal with problems almost every day. Bills, work, and people can be highly stressful, so they might downplay your problems.

I understand, my mom was like yours. It lead me to move out, and I've regretted it everyday. Do you have other people you can talk to about it other than your mom? Siblings that can let her know? That'd be good.
