Friends suck - March 6th 2012, 04:44 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I have 3 people who i have known for years, ever since 6th grade, and we've been close and happy. the four of us, together. 2 guys, 2 girls.
So, I've been having feelings for the other boy in the group of us, and when i asked him out, he called me lots of really rude things, like fag, gay, cocksucker, and some other really hurtful things, and has ignored me or insulted me, and told everyone in the school about me asking him out.
He's my best friend, and now hes just torn me away like a old shirt or something, and trampled on my heart. I don't know what to do. What do i do? i cant just forget him, he's my best friend, how do i just let that drop?

I've moved this over to Friends and Family because its more along the lines of your friendship
To answer your question, he's acting very immature.
I know you don't want to lose your best friend, but if you stop talking to him then he may get the hint and calm down. Otherwise you're just letting him verbally abuse you, which isn't fair for you and can be emotionally damaging.

And here you are living, despite it all.

Like Nicole said, your friend is very immature. Also, you might have been treading on some very thin ice by asking your best guy friend out. Still, I really think your friend should not be doing this, especially since he's your best friend... Talk to him, but if he doesn't get it, then I would break up ties with him. He's clearly a young, immature boy who thinks being a homophobe is cool. He doesn't deserve to be your friend if that's the case.

Hope everything goes well, Carpe Diem.
