Best Friend issues (updated)

Hi guys. Okay well in my previous thread about my sorta probs my best friend got annoyed with me quite alot lately and left me. (Won't let me link cause I'm new?)

Well I spoke to her recently after she said she doesn't want to be friends and left me and I said I was sorry and that maybe we could try once more. She said no. And I finally got it out of her that she didn't want to try and like me nad be friends again because she thinks she'll have to try really hard and it'll be too much like hard work and that she'll just get annoyed at me in the end anyway.

I asked her if she could think about being friends again and how much I would try to help and to get back to me but she said the answer will always be no.

I feel quite upset but you think there's anything I could say or do to make her know there's a chance. I guess it's looking doubtful if she's being like that =/.

I guess I'll have to accept that she's moved on and do so myself?

Hey Dave,

I think that from what your friend said, there's not much hope for it working out. She seems pretty definite in her answer. I think it was good that you tried talking with her again and tried to convince her that it could work, but I don't think there's any more that you can do.

I'm really sorry it worked out this way. I think effort to keep a friendship going needs to come from both sides, and it sounds like she's not willing to put in that effort anymore, even if you are. It's not fair that she gave up, but maybe it will be better to find another friend who will stick by you in the long run.
