This is pathetic really... - April 4th 2012, 04:44 PM

I feel a lot of pressure from my parents, especially my mum, recently because she goes on about how I need to work hard for my gcses this year, I'm in year 11, and a lot of my predicted grades are A's. I'm so scared of being a disappointment because my older sister was so amazing when she was at school and I have already been told by one of my teachers that she was disappointed when I turned out not to be like my sister. Recently, it's become quite overwhelming and along with other issues with my family and friends I've had a lot of emotions in me, but I simply started to cope by turning them into anger, which I then take out on my family. I just don't know what to do with myself anymore... :/ I feel so lonely... I self harm also because it's my way of releasing my anger and it's better than releasing it all on other people, I prefer hurting myself because I deserve it than others who haven't done anything..

So yeah... I just don't know what to do with my pathetic self anymore. I've become so messed up... :/

Just work hard, I know it's a lot of pressure but you will do fine. GCSE's while they are important, are not always everything. I get to sit a 2.5hr English Exam in May (woo!)..

Self Harming is not a good way to vent anger, You have realised this as in this thread, http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f12-s...-just-started/ We just need to work on it..

You sound like a very athletic person, and should continue doing what you love. Otherwise you may turn into a 'Sheep'. Following everyone else and blending in with the crowd is boring.. If anyone does ask about the scars you don't have to answer.

Don't worry too much about the exams, you will do fine! Believe me..

And I've seen it in the flights of birds
I've seen it in you the entrails of the animals
The blood running through, but in order to get to the heart
I think sometimes you'll have to cut through, but you can't

We will carry
We will carry you there

Just keep following
The heartlines on your hand
Just keep following
The heartlines on your hand
Keep it up, I know you can
Just keep following
The heartlines on your hand 'cause I am
