Question PARENTS!!!!! - April 6th 2012, 08:13 PM

Okay, so, I want to know how to get my parents attention... I cant do anything bad, so how? I am the youngest cousin by 17 years, but now my cousin has a serious boyfriend (they have set a wedding date) who is coming to Easter, so I am now forgotten. I dont even know if the Easter Bunny will come this year, even though I know thats not the real meaning.

If you feel like it is a serious problem, then talk to them about it. I'm sure they haven't forgotten you though. They probably don't get a chance to see your cousin and her boyfriend nearly as much as you so I'm sure they're a bit excited for that. Just try not to let it bother you and, as I said before, if it does then talk to them.

Again if that's how you feel, then talk about it.
But is this a temporary thing? Because sometimes you have to let others get attention for a while.

I agree with what everyone has said. Communication is a huge part of this - and I think you just need to mention this to your parents. Tell them you have been feeling unappreciated lately, and it has made you upset. Tell them that maybe you guys can schedule a day where everyone spends time with eachother (like going to dinner once a week, or going golfing, or going out shopping, etc). Express how you feel, and I think things may change in a positive direction.

Best wishes,

I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...
