Chia Jam - July 13th 2016, 03:14 PM

Who doesn't like Jam? This goes perfectly over porridge, breakfast or smoothies

Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries
1 cup figs
6 medjool dates
1 orange (juice and zest)
2 tablespoon chia seeds
1-2 tablespoon agave or maple syrup

Method:
1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender
2. Transfer into saucepan over medium heat and cook until bubbles break the surface
3. Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes or until jam thickens
4. Remove from heat & allow to cool
5. Transfer into a jar or something to keep it in, and can keep it in the fridge up to a week

Can replace strawberries with other berries if you like
So simple!

Enjoy

Sounds delicious and it's vegan so I'll probably give this a try! I have some chia seeds I've been meaning to use. I like that this recipe doesn't use processed sugars too!

And here you are living, despite it all.

I've never made jam before, but this seems like an easy enough recipe. I've recently started having smoothies for breakfast so this could be a good way to spice those up a bit. Thanks for sharing!
