Is it ok if I use unopened baking powder which went out of date in December 2010?? Thinking of baking tomorrow and it's the only stuff in the house!! My chef friend said it should be ok as baking powder usually lasts a couple of motnhs longer than the date says, but just wanted to get a second opinion (: x

It should be alright, baking powder does last a few months after the expiration date.
