 I keep seeing these around randomly and they look so delicious. I've never had any though and was wondering if anyone here had. What do they taste like? And where would I find them? I've never seen them in the shops before.  |

Macaron* is the correct spelling (: There is a specialty shop in Montreal and I loveeee them! The outer layer is crispy, inner layer is chewy, and the syrup is also sort of chewy - it melts in your mouth <3 My absolute favourite is Hazelnut favour, though Pistachio / Caramel / Coffee favours are delicious too. They are also good to give as small gifts; it's my "go-to" choice for thank-you gifts! A French desert-shop/cafe/restaurant may have them (:

I think the most famous bakery to produce them is Ladureé (they catered Soffia Coppola's Marie Antoinette) but they only have shops in france and London :P

They look like really big Skittles to be honest.
I've seen them before though but I've never tried them. Is there any chance you could make them? Perhaps you could find a recipe for them?

They are so nice and colourful! But they look like they may taste a bit weird!
