During the summer, my partner will be coming over to visit. [cheers] I want to buy a bottle of champagne for the occasion, but to be quite honest I don't know my alcohol too well.
 ... I'm actually very lost. :c Can someone help me? How do I pick out a nice bottle? Suggestions are also welcome! I'm looking for something moderately priced since, you know, I don't have a job.

I'd recommend getting one that isn't very dry. For someone who hasn't had much alcohol in their lives so far, getting a dry one might not agree with your palate as much. I can't really say for specific kinds, but maybe shop around a bit before you buy one for the special day?
