Bento lunch

Since I'm obsessed with Japan, I got a bento box from my aunt for Christmas. Now I've been searching online for recipes for a bento lunch.

There are so many I don't know where to begin. I know some basic ones, like octodogs. They're little sausages shaped like an octopus. And bunny rabbit apple slices, and rice balls shaped like animals or hearts.

Does anyone know any sites I can find some good bento lunch ideas on? A lot of the ones I'm finding are a little complicated and I want to start simple. I want to do a good job, because my first attempt is going to be a lunch for my boyfriend. It's the ultimate Japanese girlfriend cliche, but he's looking forward to it so I want something simple that's hard to screw up.

I think I may have a couple bento books around my room somewhere. Is there any kind of foods you're particularly interested in? (Beef, eggs, chicken, rice, etc) I could possibly give you a few of the recipes? Most of them are pretty simple.

Any recipe is fine, as long as it's relatively simple since I'm still a beginner. I've been looking on google for some ideas, and I've found a few simple ones but others are more difficult.

I'm a member of a site called pinterest and I see people pinning bento lunch ideas all the time. I went there and searched "bento" and saw many cute and relatively simple ideas. They're pinned from multiple sites so there is quite a variety. You don't have to be a member to search, so I'd recommend giving it a try.
