How many Pescetarians are there out there?

As of last week I made the sudden decision to become a vegetarian...only to realise I like fish. So I adjusted XP. I am a pescetarian (fish vegetarian). And so far I am very much enjoyed not eating any red meat/cute mammals.

Just wanted to know if anyone else on here classifies themselves as such?

Just out of curiosity, what prompted you to make the decision?

There are a few vegetarians on the forums that I know of, not sure of Pescetarians though.

I am SO close to being a pescetarian, I just have to stop eating chicken and turkey. I RARELY chicken or turkey anymore except for when I have a salad. I'm working on finding some type of fish to eat my salad with, because I just can't eat salad with vegetables only.

Hahah. It's pretty funny actually...I was sitting at home like. OMG THERE IS NOTHING TO EAT. So I made a cheese and lettuce sandwhich and I was like huh. This isn't so bad. I wanna be a vegetarian! So it started from there and then right off the bat I cut out all meat. Then my dad's friend is a pescetarian. So that's what I chose. After learning there are many different variations of it. But that's basically how it all started. Spur of the moment nothing to eat at home. Plus I want to try to be healthier and this is helping. By forcing me to eat better, and no more fast food.

I don't eat any meat except fish so I call myself a vegetarian. I'd never heard the term Pescetarian before today actually so i'd love it if someone would tell me what all that entitles so to speak. Sorry if this has already been explained in above comments!

This qualifies you as a pescetarian. You cannot be a vegetarian if you eat fish, as they are classified as animals. Pescetarians eat no meat except for fish.

Haha thank you! :3 Now i can stop arguing with people over everything xP and I, myself could not live without fish ^_^

I was a pescatarian for a long time, I absolutely adore fish. However, the fish industry is absolutely disgraceful and I didn't want to be a part of the problem anymore. So now I'm a vegetarian, thinking about making my transition to vegan. I just keep becoming more and more of a hippie.

I'm not a pescetarian, but I know several girls in my dorm who are pescetarians... I've thought about becoming one, but I eat chicken occasionally. Most of my meals, in general, are meat free though. I think part of that is because of the poor selection at my college plus general desire to eat more veggies.

I'm pescetarian and have been for about 4 years now, i decided to change after people told me i wouldn't be able to do it and i actually found it surprisingly easy. I haven't missed meat at all and personally wouldn't go back now x

I used to be a pescetarian. Then I became a vegetarian. Now I eat meat. I'm considering becoming a pescetarian again, but I'm not sure I should because giving myself food restrictions encourages my eating disorder.
