Question Mom. - February 21st 2013, 04:16 PM

My mom died about 10 months ago. I miss her so much! I always get upset with my dad and never feel like I can tell him how I feel like I did with my mom. I am without a mom, upset with my dad, and just plain tired. I dont know how to communicate with my dad, nor how to stop missing my mom.

There's a grieving process. Don't worry; it will all pass. Someday you can look back and smile. Don't keep you emotions bottled inside. It's perfectly okay to cry.
Stay strong.

Well, I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm also sorry you are having a hard time right now. In regards to the grieving process, I have seen people be able to move on in a few days, a few weeks, and unfortunately, I have seen it take a few years. In the cases that it takes several months to (or more than) 1+ year, I usually always recommend talking to someone (particularly a counselor). In this case, I extremely recommend you talking to a counselor about this (due to the fact that you don't have a great relationship with your dad right now, and really don't seem to have anyone else to talk too). Sometimes talking about things (both about this subject, and all subjects) can help.

If you ever need to talk, feel free to PM me.

Best wishes,
Chris

I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...
