Freind in fatal biking accident - April 27th 2009, 01:56 PM

So a guy I've been friends with since i was in year 10 passed away on friday after a terrible accident on his first ride out on his new moped
He had some really horrible mates but he was always lovely to me and made me laugh and always stuck up for me when people were being mean to me.
Cheers Connor, I'll never forget you

Hi Amelia,

I'm sorry to hear your friend passed away, it sounds like he was a really great friend to you and I hope you'll be able to hold onto those happy memories of him. Look after yourself and don't be afraid to let yourself grieve however you need to.

Take care,

Lils

Hey Amelia. (:

I'm really sorry to hear about what happened to your friend. I know it's never easy losing a friend, especially when they are so young. I know it seems so hard right now but everything happens for a reason and in time things will seem a lot easier to handle.

Stay strong, Connor would want you to. If you ever need to talk about anything, feel free to send a PM my way any time at all.

Take care of yourself.

Hey, Amelia.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. =[ The loss of a longtime friend and young person can be very difficult to cope with. When we're young, we're meant to feel invincible--losing someone our age is a harsh reminder that nothing is forever, and that we are all fragile.

Try to remember him for the good things, Amelia. I know that it's difficult making peace with the fact that you cannot make new memories with Connor, but always remember that the ones you have of him are yours to keep, forever.

Spend time with people you care about, and who care about you, right now. Don't seclude yourself--it's okay to need support. Let me know if I can do anything. Take care.

Someday I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us.
I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind

I'm so sorry about your friend. It's always hard to deal with deaths, especially someone who was close to us. Just remember that his death doesn't void your memories and those happy times that you spent together. They still happened, and you still had a blast together. You'll recover, day by day, and just remember the good days, laughing with eachother or him sticking up for you like that whenever you think of him. Because the happy times are still happy memories.

I'm sorry about your loss, Amelia.
One of the toughest things in the world is to lose someone, and I know you're probably going through a lot of pain and emotions right now. But as mentioned, try to remember the good times you've had with him, instead of the times you could have had. You definitely are wounded when you lose someone close to you in life, but it's a wound that grows easier to mend in time. Things will get and feel better soon, and your friend will always be in your heart Take care. x

Hey Amelia,

Your friend sounds like he was a really great guy. Keep him alive in memory. I know it's painful but focusing on all the good times can really help you put everything into perspective. Talking to mutual friends of yours can also be really therapeutic. I am sure he wouldn't want his passing to get you down or hold you back. Hang on to positivity and try to dismiss any negative thoughts you may be having. After losing a friend it is easy to feel isolated and lonely. Reach out to the people you do have around you. You don't have to go through this alone. If you ever need to talk I am here for you. Take care and hang in there.

Lots of love <3 Mimi
