Unhappy I had a miscarriage - May 11th 2014, 07:53 PM

I had a miss carriage on April 8th. I lost my deceased boyfriend baby. I feel horrible. I do not know what to do. I do not want to be here anymore. I feel like a failure. I just really need someone to talk to....

Hey there,

I know how it feels to have a miscarriage. I've suffered from two miscarriages, and to this day I feel horrible about it. However, it's been a few years and it DOES get easier.

You're NOT a failure. Things like this happen all the time. I'm not going to tell you it wasn't meant to be to be a parent or any of that because it won't make you feel any better. I will tell you, though, that with the right coping skills you can get through this. I did things to memorialize my babies. I wrote letters to them expressing my sorrow, I have figurine angels for them, and I always visit a specific river and send a prayer to them. There are a lot of things you could do, those are just some ideas.

Feel free to PM me if you want to talk. I'd love to help. <3

Hey, there.

Words can't express how sorry I am to hear about your situation. I've never had to deal with this first hand, but my sister has had several miscarriages and I know it's unimaginable heartbreak.

Brittany made some great suggestions for you. In addition to what she said, I encourage you to seek some sort of professional help to guide you through the grieving process and to get you on a track of remembrance and perseverance. "Professional help" can come in the form of counselors, social workers, professors of psychology and/or social work, etc. Talking to someone who is very knowledgeable in the situation you're currently dealing with can provide unthinkable positive outcomes.

I wish you and all those effected the very best during this tragic situation.

Best wishes,
Chris
