More and more news articles - September 23rd 2014, 06:02 PM

My friend was murdered in april, and as time passed things got easier but then the trial started. And the last few days more articles and more details have come out.

She was pregnant and he pushed her to the floor when he found out and said "this will stop you having a baby". She was in hospital 3 times for bloody noses from where he's beaten her.

He strangled her because he didn't want to be on the baby's birth certificate.

Each tiny detail that comes out makes me angrier and more upset with each word and although my mum advised me not to read them I can't resist it. I couldn't even bring myself to go to the funeral.

I have just started my A levels and I'm just losing focus, this happened for my last big exams and I did not do very well at all and these exams are the most important ones. I just can't process how to feel.

Emily, I'm sorry for your loss. Your friend definitely did not deserve to be treated like that or killed.

Your mum is right, it's best if you avoided the news article to lessen your distress. Plus, you want to be fully focused on your exams, not be thinking about your friend and all the news that are coming about.

I understand, and know completely how you feel. My friend was murdered a few years ago, and things settled down until the trial, and then all of a sudden there are tweets and news articles flooding social media.
I know it might not be easy, but it is for the best that you do avoid those articles. Its not easy to know what happen, or were the truth lies, I made the mistake in following all of the news and in the long run it hurt more than not knowing did.

I hope this helps you.

Hey, Emily.

I'm really, really sorry to hear about what your friend went through. That's so heartbreaking.

Your friend did not deserve this at all. I believe she's in heaven now, in a happier place where no one can hurt her. I'll certainly be keeping her family and yours in my prayers.
