R.I.P Lee, Logan, Austin 3/5/09

As tears fall from my eyes,I realized I didn't know them as much as I knew everyone else,Yet what I knew was they where apart of me in different ways,And as I watched them be put in the ground,Their spirits floating,Apart of me went with them...........You will forever be missed and loved...Never forgotten

i know how you feel my dad was killed three years ago in an off roading accident. it was his first time back mudding since his surgery on his shoulder. he never came home. my mom was the one who told him to go and have fun, so she blamed herself for a while.
it does hurt, it still hurts me. it eases away with time, but it is still always there. you find other things to think about and get your mind off of the people and you forget about it for a while. remember the fun times and it isn't your fault, or your brothers. things happen and EVERYTHING happens for a reason, whether it feels like it or not, the statement is true. I have learned that the past three years.

I wish you the best of luck and if you ever want to talk, feel free to PM me.

Hey there, Kayla.

I've looked at this thread a few times, trying to reply. I never have the right words and, honestly, this thread really hit home with me. Around your age a boy I knew, that we often called Lee, passed away in a car crash, and I lost quite a few other peers in high school to auto accidents. I'm sorry for the late reply, regardless.

Although you didn't know any of them extremely well, it seems like they have affected your life. Even if we simply see a person each day, it is hard to imagine life without them, you know? It's one thing when a person moves away, but when these constant presences in our lives are simply gone from our world it can be very hard to cope with, regardless of how close you were.

It will get easier in time. I'm not sure things like this are ever easy to cope with, but over time they become easier to handle. You will, one day, make peace with these losses.

Remember that you aren't alone. TeenHelp, myself included, is here for you. Don't be afraid to reach out to your friends and family as well. Try to take good care of yourself.

Someday I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us.
I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind
