Arrow Morning Silence - August 8th 2009, 07:59 AM

Hey

When I was just turning four I met a beautiful little boy my age at playgroup/preschool... He was my best friend in the whole world. Sometimes, all we had was each other. Our friendship was so special. He was so special. When I was almost seven, he was murdered on the way home from school. Why? I have no idea.

It's eight years on. I'm nearly fifteen.

Often when I wake, I can feel him sitting by my bedside... in every house I've lived in since his death, in every bedroom I've moved into, there's been a chair by bed, I make sure of that. I'll wake in the morning, in the silence. And he's there watching me. I wonder how long he's been there. But if I break the silence, if I open my mouth to say "Hello, Ross", he disappears. If my parents come in, he vanishes. It's not every morning, he sits there. It's just once or twice a week. It's been that way since about a year after he left this world. I can't see him, he doesn't talk to me, but I can feel him, I know he's there.

Don't tell me I'm imagining it, don't tell me he's not really there, don't tell me I'm crazy... I just want to know why he comes in the morning. It doesn't bother me, I sort of like it, knowing he's there, knowing he's 'safe', he gives me comfort... But I'd like to know why... Anyone got any ideas why he visits me?... Why he follows me home to home, bedroom to bedroom? Why he watches me?

R.I.P. Ross. You will forever be remembered.

Because you were his best friend, he probably shares his best memories with you and he watches over you like you'd watch over him making sure he was safe and okay? People you love wont just vanish, there still there.

I think, Bex, you feel him with you because he is there in your heart. And you can always keep him in your heart. He cannot be with you, in person, anymore, and I'm sure that hurts a lot sometimes. But he can always live on inside of you, and I'm glad you have him there with you.

Someday I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us.
I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind

Sometimes spirits stay because they haven't finished what they were doing, or msybe they have something important to say, have u tried communicating with him? Sorry, if this sounds abit too much, I just believe in spirits and stuff, and I'm sorry he was murdered

It's fine... No I haven't tried talking to him... well I have, but when I try he goes away, like I've broken the silence and he's gone - i can't feel him anymore x
