It just feels weird. - September 14th 2009, 10:57 PM

Well, my uncle died today of cancer, I'd never met him before, I didn't even know he had cancer, but my mum always spoke fondly of him (technically he was my mums uncle but ah well) But the thing is I don't know it effecting so badly, I mean, I'd never met him before or anything, and I didn't feel sad when I found out that BOTH my step-grandparents had died (No one thought to tell me about their deaths until much later) and I actually knew them and everything =/

And I feel like the hospital is to blame for his death as well, I mean, a couple of weeks they said he had two years to live =/.

I just feel shocked =/

Hey Keady,

I am so sorry to hear about this. You must be feeling all sorts of things right now and it is ok to feel shocked. You weren't expecting it at all especially since the hospital said he had 2 years to live. I suppose you are not directly related to your step grandparents, which could be why it didn't affect you that much. I know you can have regrets and blame to hospital but you don't know exactly what happened. Perhaps it would help to find out why they said he had 2 years to live a few weeks ago. That might help to clear things up for you.

Keady you are strong and can get through this. If you ever need anything then I am always happy to listen. Don't give up
