My cat died... - January 27th 2009, 02:41 PM

I can't believe it, and i don't really want too.

One of my cats died today, she was about 12 or 13 years old and we have had her since she was less then a year. I have so many memories of her.

I loved her so much, she was the sweetest cat ever. And i can't believe she is gone. And i feel so awful about it because i haven't really paid much attention to her in a long time.

I have pretty much not stopped crying since my mom told me, because i am just in shock and missing her already, plus the guilt of not giving her attention. I really don't handle death well, it brings back painful memories.

RIP Cleo my sweet cat <3333

I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of your lovely cat, Sarah . It's always easy to look back in hindsight and think "I should have done this; I should have done that", but you weren't to know and now it's important to lay those thoughts to rest and just enjoy the memories you have with her, whilst allowing yourself the time and space to grieve for her loss.

I'm sorry to hear that. My cat's getting quite old now and particularly because I have the closest bond with her I hate thinking about not having her around.
I'm sure you have many wonderful memories of her and they will stay with you. There will always be a part of her with you that you can cherish and I wish you the best with your grievance.

Hey Im sorry to hear about your cat. I lost mine about 2 months ago. It is really to loose a pet you were so close to. Remember the good times and what I do is I had a picture that I kept in my wallet. If you need anything, am here. <3

I'm really sorry about your cat. It's always hard to lose a pet

Just try to remember all the little silly things she used to do that had all of you cracking up, that tends to help sometimes. And she's always alive in your heart, if that counts

I bet you were a very good cat-keeper. Don't beat yourself up about things you didn't do, because it won't get you anywhere. I'm sure Cleo is in a better place than it was before she died, especially because the cat was very old. Recovery can take a long time.. so just let it roll. Definitely think of all the fun memories you had with her and try to celebrate her life, not mourn her death.
