How did you? - December 14th 2009, 05:40 AM

How did you grieve? I've been sleeping my dad's death off for about two years now...I can't do it anymore. I need someone to relate....someone to talk with....too bad it's almost 1 in the morning.

I'm a house of cards in a hurricane.
A reckless ride in the pouring rain.
He cuts me and the pain is all I wanna feel.
He'll dance away just like a child.
He drives me crazy, drives me wild.
But I'm helpless when he smiles.

He broke my heart when I broke his xbox360

Hey Megan,
Different people address the death of someone close to them different. Maybe trying to sleep it off and forget about it is your way of dealing with things.
Everyone grieves differently maybe you could speak to your family and let them know how you've been feeling, sometimes speaking about things helps you that little bit more to move forward with things a little.
Obviously you're never going to get over the loss of your dad, it's not that easy, especially when it's someone as close as a father or a mother.
Maybe you do need some help with coming to terms with things. I know you may not like the idea of it but a counsellor could help you to be able to move forward. By being with a counsellor it gives you the opportunity to talk about things at your own pace. It's always easier to speak when it's not being forced out of you, or your made to speak about things quicker than you feel is the right pace for you.
I'm always here for you if you want to speak.
Love Paige
