advice please - March 12th 2010, 05:45 AM

hey... so my dad's 2 year anniversary of his death is coming up on the 25th of march....my councler wants me to think of something kind of like a memorial to do for that day.... any ideas

Hey Bailey,

I am really sorry to hear about your loss. Anniversaries are always really difficult days to get through but planning something for that day might make it a bit easier. You could go somewhere special where your dad use to go that day or if your dad has been buried you could visit the grave and put some nice flowers on it. Or you could try something like writing him a poem or letter describing how you feel. I would try to spend time with people who care about you on this day so they can help you through it.

I always struggle with anniversaries so if you ever need someone to talk to on that day or anytime then I am always here for you. Stay strong.
