Do you know what it's like to feel so low? - February 9th 2009, 11:57 PM

I'm sure you guys are aware of my dad and his death.
the accident and such..
i just feel like i cant hold on anymore
some days i just feel so weak
like i cant really bear the pain anymore.
i get these flashbacks, and they are so so painful
when i think of memories i cant smile on days like this. all i can do is cry
i just hurts that bad. we were so close and it gets to the point where i dont see how im living without him and going forward. no one just quite really understand
everyone takes things for advantage
if only i could have my dad back for a little while. just to hear his voice
even him yelling, i would be completely happy with that.
i know people say its okay and try to understand, but do you really understand?

I understand. And I'm not the kind of person who will tell you that just because I think it's what you want to hear. I really can understand. It hurts like Hell to lose someone that you love, and it's not something I would wish on anyone, because it's absolutely miserable. But what you should know is that there are a lot more people than you think who do understand. You're anything but alone in how you feel right now, I know that for a fact. I'm not sure what religion you are or anything so I won't preach to you about your dad being in a better place and all that, but one thing I do believe is that people we love never really leave us, even if they might be gone. Their around us all the time, we just don't know it. Maybe you should talk to your dad, even though he's not here. Tell him how much you miss and love him. I can almost guarantee that he'll be listening.

And one thing I know is that when you lose someone, the hurt never goes away forever, but it becomes easier to deal with. It's one of the hardest changes we face, but eventually it becomes easier, and it will for you too, I promise. Just give it some time, and remember that your dad is sometimes probably a lot more near than you might think. Stay strong. xx

hey angelina.

i think that you definitely dont deserve to deal with all this.. the loss of someone dear is always painful and will definitely not be an easy thing to deal with. You have to tell your friends about how all this is putting so much on you.. they'll definitely understand and give you all the emotional support that they can. You can count on them, no matter what.

and besides that, you wanna know one thing thats VERY true...?

your dad's never truly left. he's always watching over you with a smile from very high above. So you can definitely rest assured that your every move will be blessed from high above.. because your dad is both watching over you and he guards you from your heart

just remember that we're all here to talk to you in case you need anyone to listen

I know how you feel. I lost my younger brother in a car accident last april.
It sucks and there is no answer and theres no way to make you feel better except seeing that person again.

I take comfort in knowing that i'm not the only person that has lost someone they love. That everyday someone loses someone. Death is a part of life and grieving is adjusting to life without that person.

There are plenty of leaflets, sites, books, people that tell you all about grieving. They know what they're talking about. They wont take the pain away but they'll help you at least a little.

Definately talk about your dad to people, what you miss about him, things you did together etc. It's healthy.
