someone help me please :(

My best friend and I got into a fight the other day. She has been very sick and a lot of things were bothering her. Last night she killed herself. I had no idea she had come to that. I should have been there for her. I don't know why she did it she had so much to live for. I can't help but feel like it was my fault or at least that i could have prevented it. now i have to go to my best friends funeral in 3 days and I just can't handle this. How did this happen? why did it have to come to this? I miss her so much already I want my friend back!

Blue, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, what you're feeling is completely normal for this situation. Feeling guilt and fault is very common, but unless she showed warning signs, there's nothing you could've done. If you had no idea, then you had no idea. It isn't your fault that she did this, she came to that decision on her own and made the choice to go through with it. I know it all feels like it's just too much right now, allow yourself to feel and express your emotions as they come up in a healthy way. And know that you are not alone in feeling this way.

awh blue I'm so sorry to hear that I know exactly how you feel my parents died in a car accident 3 weeks ago i was in the car with them and i just got out of the hospital four days ago I miss them so much

Blue hunny please don't blame yourself. I loved shy and i miss her to. But you will always still have me I am here for you and I'm not going anywhere. We will always remember her the way she was when she was happy I'm sure thats what she wanted. R.I.P Shya I will always remember you and miss you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Death is horrible, and we should in now way blame ourselves. You may feel like it is your fault, but unless you drove her to her death or physically killed her, it's not, believe me. I'm always here if you want to talk, and I hope everything goes well at the funeral and she gets a good send off. RIP to her.

oh hun...i am soooo sorry for what happened...i dont know what to say...

i absoultely understand what you are going through..i have lost five people to suicide...

i understand completely why you feel that its your fault...why you feel the need to blame yourself for what happened.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Death is hard to cope with but suicide is harder. It's normal to question things and wonder whether you could have prevented it. But i can assure you it was NOT your fault hun. She would have done it no matter what and i'm sure she wouldn't want you to feel bad about it. I know it's really hard and you will feel awful but you have to try and think of all the good times and good things.
Your friend is gone and thats the hardest part, knowing you will never see them again. But it will get easier with time.

There are several steps to the dealing with this. There will always be the what if..., I should have done...., etc. Of course there is the anger part. Eventually, as long as you continue to talk about this like you are, the anger and things like that will go away and you'll be able to handle it easier as times goes on. I'm not saying the pain will completely go away because any tragic event is always with you. Keep up the good work of talking about it. Find someone on here you can talk to and be open and honest with them. Keep any anger inside will only hurt later. I'm also here if you want to PM me!

Losing someone that is close and dear to us is very hard.
Please sweetie, do NOT blame yourself...this is NOT your fault in anyway hun.
I know that it may be really hard to understand, or even to want to understand but your friend is in a better place now, she is no longer hurting. Trust me I know that still sucks, but it does get better.
I really want you to know that this is not your fault in anyway. PLEASE know that sweetie.
I know that coping with death can be very difficult and like it has been said suicide can make it even harder to cope.

I am so sorry for what happened- that is heartbreaking Please though, don't blame yourself. That's a normal reaction in your situation, but i promise you, it is not your fault. It was her decision, and she is in a better place now. I hope that you can accept what happened, even though you will never stop missing and living your friend. Good luck honey.
