Death sucks. -
May 2nd 2011, 08:06 PM
I just found out this kid I hung out with everyday this summer died this weekend.
While we weren't great friends, we talked about everything. He was a heroin addict, and we talked a lot about how he said he just gave up on life and he hoped to die soon. His only wish was to shoot up once more before that happened because he hadn't in quite some time. I shouldn't be so upset over it... but I am really really fucking upset. It sent me into another depression I can't even begin to explain. They don't know the official cause of death, but it appears to be "a medical condition" or overdosing which I believe. It kills me I'm never going to know if it's intentional... and now certainly isn't the time to bring up his suicidal tendencies with his family. Is it normal for something like this to upset people so much? And how do I get past it? I'm not sure I can function normally after hearing this ever again in my life... It's definitely normal. You saw this kid a lot. Even if you guys weren't good friends you still made a connection. Death is so confusing....
it affects everyone so differently. Some people feel nothing, some people feel a lot, some people don't know what they're feeling. The only way to get past it is time...you have to find something that works for you. Talking to friends, a therapist, family. Doing an activity [like art, reading, writing, sports, etc] when you're feeling depressed. Things will get better Just remember that it is normal and there are so many people who face grief everyday. You're not alone.
I'm a house of cards in a hurricane.
A reckless ride in the pouring rain. He cuts me and the pain is all I wanna feel. He'll dance away just like a child. He drives me crazy, drives me wild. But I'm helpless when he smiles. He broke my heart when I broke his xbox360 ![]() Cherry Cherry Boom Boom |

Ive found one of the best ways to get over grif is to carry on as normally as you would to and stick in a routine as much as you can. Also you should try and create a place where you keep anything speicl you have that will remind you of happy times with the person it is that you lost. And finally try doing their favouroute things, or thing such as 'if they were here what would they want to do?' and do that or 'what was their favourete thing to do?' and do it.
