He was my brother and my best friend - May 6th 2011, 08:04 PM

My older brother was recently killed in a motorcycle accident by a drunk driver. He was my best friend and the most important person in the world to me . I miss him so much. It feels like he disappeared off the face of the earth. I never got to say goodbye. I wish he would have taken me with him. I can't imagine going on with the rest of my life without him, he was my life. He dropped out of school to get a job and an apartment to support me and my younger brother. He was such a strong human being and never gave up fighting. I used to cry for him because of how much he had to endure in his life. He was so brave and courageous and would stand up to anyone. He would walk 1000 miles if it meant I didn't have to walk 1. He was my hero and my best friend and I miss him so much .

We are living with my aunt. I had to give my dog up for adoption, I miss him too. I have to move out when I turn 18 in a few months. My brother always told me I could go to college if I really wanted to. I won't be able to afford it. I have to get a job to get a place to live. I feel so immature for my age. I'm not ready to be an adult yet . I'm not as strong as my brother. I'm so shy and so scared. I don't know how to act or think like a man. I don't know how to think like an adult. I don't think I can endure .

Hey Hey, calm down. I'm the same. My brother who was there for me since I was a baby because I was deaf, he used to protect me, understand me when i needed help, listened when i sobbed out about the problems but he was in his GCSES' year; but he would drop anything to help me. I know how it feels because my brother moved out, I was the oldest in the house with my younger sister, I sometimes would cry because he changed. He went off and focused on a girlfriend so I know.

I suggest you to push through just for your brother, make him proud.

Im here if need just PM me

Im very sorry to hear you'r sudden loss Experience. Iv found that the best way to deal with death is to think about all the (good) memmories you have about the person who has died. Also do you have anything they have given you? or anything that will make you think of them? or what were their favouret/least favouret sound's/sight's/smell's/tast's/touches' (the 5 scences basicly)
I surgest after thinking about these things that you then try to create a special box or book about the person, put in the box anything they gave you or that reminds them of you, write in the book their favourete things, all your feelings and anything elce that you remember about them good or bad. Put the book in the box too. You should also decorate the box nicely.
Then you Allways have something to remind you of him and in the proces of you making it it will help you to get over him by remembering all the good things that he had done in the time wilst he was alive.

"(Tom) you think your the only person who's ever lost anyone?
(William) no
(tom) your right, I have too. But, I dident loose them you see, not really no, they are here, up hear *points to head* with everything Ill ever remember about them, Like Zak will be for you, and no-one, no-one can ever take that away from you"
(Quote from the film Goodnight Mr Tom)
