Question If you care you will help me - June 4th 2011, 01:53 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of death or grieving, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Ten weeks ago I lost my cousin and uncle. My mom left me for 3 weeks. I didn't know what to do. First it was shock then denial then sadness then anger. I don't talk much so I am holding in my emotions and I am afraid they will explode at any moment. Then, I started cutting again. My friend found out and now I don't feel comfortable around my friend. Everyday I wake up I feel like butt. I feel myself going downhill very fast and I don't want to. I just can't deal with all of this and I feel like a crazy person even though I am not. If someone could just give me advice that would be very helpful.Thank You.

Emily,

This is such terrible news and I'm so sorry it's happened to you. I understand why you are feeling so down about it. You said you don't talk much, but perhaps talking is what you need. Bottling up your feelings leads to things such as SH and I think telling someone, or at least talking about it may help you feel less isolated and therefore more able to cope through the hard times ahead.

If you haven't already, try looking at the SH alternatives on TeenHelp. I know the cutting isn't the main question here, but it's a factor and if you feel it contributes to this so much you include it, there can be no harm in trying these out. http://www.teenhelp.org/alternatives Look at the list and try some out. Don't be discourages by the ones that don't work, keep trying anf you're bound to find some that work for you!

Death is a hard thing to come to terms with, so if you are emotional, which you will be without a doubt, be sure to get them out some how. Don't hold them inside, cry if you want to, draw, write a letter to the person you're grieving over. Poetry helps too. Anything that expresses you is a good thing to try and they help with the SH too.

If you want to talk feel free to PM me at any time. I'm happy to be here as much as I can be, and of course there are plenty of other people willing to do the same. You're never alone, remember that.

Take care,
Hollie.

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful
Would you let me see beneath your perfect
Take it off now girl, take it off now girl
I wanna see inside.

I would mainly just repeat what Hollie has said above.
But if it helps in any way I just want to say "I am here" and In a VERY similar situation to yourself, we are here together, let's support each other through this
