So i am just wondering if there is any other twinless twins.
I lost my twin 3 days afterbirth and just need some help coping with it.

Please no comments such as you never knew her so why should u grief for them. Believe me i wish it was as simple as that, if you haven't been in this situation you wouldn't know how painful it is.

Im going to be honest I am not a twin and never was, so as you say I have no idea what it's like.
However, I can understand it from you'r description, it's like being riped in half forever, made even worse by the fact that the 'other half' is no longer alive.

The best thing I can think that you should do is to think of it like this:
"What would she (your twin) have wanted/done?" Since you are twins Im thinking that it is likely to be similar to your own thought's. Then you should reemember that:
"She had her life taken away from her before she got the chance to furfull her ambitions. Now I can either 'waste' both our live's always thinking about her OR I can go out and achive for both of us" wich one will you do?

I know i have to think more postive about the situation however not knowing where your twin is buried is very hard. I'm looking into finding counsellors specialising in twins too.

I have no idea how it feels like to loose a twin, but me and my twin brother Ronnie are in different foster homes and it hurts to be away from him, I know I would feel in complete if he died. I hope everything gets better for you hun, if you ever need anything or you want to talk just drop me a pm vm or something I can understand that even though you never knew her you feel incomplete, I went to a counsellor once and she told me that even if you never knew a twin, they will always be apart of you and when they are gone you will feel incomplete, because its like you have left a piece of you behind. I hope you will be okay and everything gets better for you

I found out I was supposed to be a twin not that long ago. My twin, which my parents think it was going to be a boy, died before we were born. I really don't know how to feel about it, all I know was that his name was going to be Dylan.

I'm not a twin but if people tell you you shouldnt grief because you never knew her, well i think thats a load of b/s. you did know her, you just dont remember it. you lived with her for nine months, so you knew her. just because we cant remember things from before we are born, your situation is a good example of how we have feelings before we are born. you obviously loved your sister, so now that shes gone you have a reason to grief. its like a child who losses a parent at a young age. they may not remember that parent but they still miss and love them.

I still miss my brother, I kind of wonder what life would have been like if he hadn't died. I know my friends would be fighting over him.
I wonder if he would have been a protective brother, or a brother that would have tried to hook me up with his friends. Would he have been a jock or a nerd.
I just wonder about him sometimes at random times. Like is he watching over me now from where ever he might be.

Thanks everyone, and also sorry to hear that Ashley. I wonder at times too, i'd really like to know where my twin is buried so that i have somewhere to go. I think would we be really close and protective over one another, would we have the same friends, same interests, etc. I carry a photo around with me everywhere i go unless its abroad because at least then i know she can be with me. I am thinking about going to a photo shop and getting a photo copied so that i can put it into my locket because i don't want to ruin any originals. I think though i would be the protective one as i am protective over my friends.

I think I would have been protective over my brother as well. I probably wouldn't have let my friends date him, well one of them at least.

I wish I would have had a picture of him, but he died before we were born.

My twin brother died when we were three from lukemia, I still feel like a piece of me is missing. I always wonder what it would of been like if he didn't die, from my limited memory and from what my brother told me, he was always happy and hyper. We were total opposites, i have dark brown hair and bright blue eyes, he has blonde hair and bright green eyes.

While I'm not and have never been a twin, I'm deeply sorry for everyones losses. I can't imagine what it must be like losing a regular sibling, let alone a twin which you're supposed to be even closer to. I'm here to talk if anyone wants to PM me. <3

My twin died when we where five I still have problems with it because it was MY fualt... I know exactly what it's like to lose the person you're closest to because I went throw it... you can ALLWAYS PM me nat

i know how it feels my lil sister drowned i never remebered her for some reason but i still feel a connection they are you sibling and theres a connection i also have a sister were 11 months apart almost twins and we are so close so to lose a twin or a sibling is hard even if you dont remeber its still hard and you just have to keep them in your memeory but not dwell on it and keep moving forward

my mum had a miscarriage with my twin.. it would of been nice to have a sister,, so i can do her makeup and hair ect ... x

I personally am not a twin, but I know 3 people who were supposed to be, and I babysat for a women who was pregnant with triplets but one of the eggs was reabsorbed by the body around 11weeks. So in a sense, she lost a child.

I hope knowing there are others who lost someone before birth helps you cope.
