Im sorry to hear for your loss, I wish you all the best in what will be a difficult time for you.

A grandparent of mine died recently, and I did get to go to the funeral, but I dident want to. Mainly because I knew their wish was not to have a frunerall at all, so by attending I dident do as they wanted.

I understand this is allmost the opposite of your experiences but I am still willing to help you in any way I can.
Can I ask what it is you should/will be doing at the time of the funeral wich means that you cannot go to it? depending on what it is most or allmost all thing's are understanding that people do die and people close to them greave. Funerals are important things that can never be re-created therfore I cannot think of a reason why somoene would not allow you to go to it.

Obvesly without me knowing why you cannot go I cannot specificly help you but I am more than willing to do so if you just ask me. Either reply here or PM me.

All the best to you
Take care
Dipka

Thanks for replying

I can't go for several reasons...first off I have work, she didn't live by me, its about 2 hours away so I can't get there. I don't know exactly where it is or what time and I have no way of finding out. Her family don't know who I am. I wouldn't be welcome there and her family are abusive. Also, I wouldn't want the first time I saw her face to face to be when she is dead.
So yeh...there you go x

Hey there,

First of all I'm sorry to hear the sad news. The funeral thing is something I've now experienced 3 times, though only the latest two have I understood why I couldnt go and actually been bothered about it. My way of doing something was to write poems for them. In the latest case, I was more experienced and of course older and I understood why I wasn't allowed to go, so writing the poem allowed me to express feelings towards this person in another form. The poem was then actually placed in the programme and I believe read out, so it was me paying my repsects without being there. Perhaps you could do this?

Take care,
Hollie.
