Rest In Peace Grandpa - December 10th 2011, 12:35 AM

Got the "official call" less than 2 hours ago and grandpa will be leaving us within hours. I'm his only grandchild and I don't even remember the last time I saw him. Part of me wants to be with him, but he's with my dad 3,000 miles away. I'm comforted by the fact that he lived 93 years 6 months and a few days and the fact that he knew I loved him. He will be with grandma and the rest of his family soon.

I'm so sorry to hear this.

Please don't feel guilty about not visiting him more often. You have your own life to lead and he would have understood this. The most important part is that he knew you loved him.

I'm also sorry to hear this Katie. He seemed to live a very long and happy life - unfortunately everyone has to leave at some point - but atleast your grandfather lived a full life, and I'm sure a life full of happiness.

Best wishes,
Chris

Sending many hugs to you. Good way to look at it that he lived a long life. But I wouldn't put a lot of guilt on yourself for not seeing him. I know it is hard to lose someone but try and find all the good things about them. I bet you he is very proud of you.

More hugs,

feel free to send me a message.
