Way too young... - February 8th 2012, 07:54 AM

So like the past week has been so hectic.

One of the middle schoolers committed suicide a week ago from yesterday. He was only like 12, 13 at the most. That's crazy. That's way too young. Not even a teenager. What have you gotten to experience by that age? Nothing much, you haven't even begun to really live your life. That just kills me inside.

I only knew his face. He's way younger than me, so never really knew his name or who he really was. Seen him around a few times, at football games and stuff. Pretty close friends with some of his family though. I hate seeing them go through shit like this.

The very next day, I find out that one of my best friends overdosed and was in the hospital. She almost died. 3 times they basically brought her back from the point where it was almost impossible to save her. Why is this happening all at once?

Not to sound like an idiot, but everyone at my school believes in the senior curse. Every year we usually lose 1 or 2 seniors either to suicide or some freak car accident usually involving alcohol. I mean, personally I don't believe it's a curse. It's just choices. It's still scary though. Graduation is coming up in literally only a few more weeks. Like 13 weeks I think. That's crazy. My class is so small, and we're really tight knit. If anything happened, I'm not really sure what we would do.

Every fucking year, and I'm sick of it happening. I'm barely an adult, and too many people I know that are my age are already gone. It ain't right.

im on my way

Hey Nicole,

I really do understand where your coming from, although we never lost anyone from our senior class, being formally suicidal and helping so much other on this site who were also helps a bunch. Life can be really cruel to us Nicole and sometimes there are times when other can handle it while others can no longer resist the urge too. As staff member every time we hear about someone committing suicide, we sorrow because we weren't able to help them.

Since you know them Nicole; do them a favor. They may no longer be physically with us, but there always be in our dreams and hearts; make them proud to know you, achieve the best grades, go to college and become successful in honor of them. I know you can do this! Stay Cool!

I agree. Every other year a students at my High School dies - and this has been going on for around 10 years. Its very sad to have someone feel that they aren't good enough - or make a stupid mistake that cost them there lives.

If I had one wish - it would be that everyone will have peace and happiness in there lives. Its very unfortunate the amount of teens that commit suicide, or end up dead due to an accident.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and those affected,
Chris

I understand. My friend committed suicide monday... It's really hard, I'm a senior, we lost a freshman-he ran his four wheeler into a tree on accident. When my class was sophomores we lost a classmate, he drowned after tipping a canoe over, he drank to much... It was his birthday. It's never easy... I could go on about my family losses and people that attended my school that I didn't know, but I won't. A lot of people go through the same things you are. I personally feel that it's hard when people tell you that this is the best time of your life and you will remember it forever.... I will remember, definately not the best time of my life. Grieving is hard to do alone, I am here if you need anything feel free to PM me.
