I miss her so much :'( - April 2nd 2009, 10:38 AM

It is my mums birthday today and I really miss her. I want her back. Why does everything have to hurt so much. Why can't things be different. I just don't know how much longer I can take this. I am falling deeper and deeper into depression. Nothing can stop me from falling deeper. My psych is expecting me not to cut today but I don't care. I can't bloody do this. If I can't get through some normal days without cutting how am I meant to get through harder days. I feel so angry inside. Everyone just expects so much of me. I am never good enough the way I am. I am just going to curl up and cry

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of your mother. It's always hard, losing someone close to us, but I think it's got to be even harder loosing a family member, and you're mother at that. Nothing I say can bring your mom back but try to remember all of the good times you had with your mom; remember her laugh and smile and when you two made cookies or played in the park as a child. I know birthdays are super hard but what if you did a sort-of, birthday thing in memory of your mom? Maybe bake cookies or go to the park and feed the ducks or just do something that reminds you of the good times you had with your mom. You could maybe even write her a letter and leave it at her graveside along with some flowers. Anger is common to feel when you lose someone close to you so know that it is perfectly okay for you to feel angry. It may seem like people expect a lot of you, but you only need to focus on what YOU expect from you. Stay strong and hang in there. I can't say the pain will ever go away but, with time, it will get easier to live with. If you feel like you need to cry, then cry and if you feel like you need to vent, then vent.
If you need someone to talk to, I'm always here.
