Find the Book - May 14th 2015, 07:25 PM

It's funny because I am never on here anymore but I am so desperate to find this book I am back for a bit.

I've posted on a few forms trying to find this book so I am hoping someone here might know what I am talking about.

When I was in elementary school this was the book that was way older than me we're talking maybe from the 1960's? It was a children's book about this girl who was visiting her grandpa or something. He tells her this story about this great race horse and all this stuff. The race horses name was something majestic like "majesty, king, etc". The point is she is so excited about this horse and stuff and then you skip way ahead and she's wandering her grandpa's property. She finds this shed thing and opens it. She finds a skeleton of a horse and a halter that says the horses name. And gets all excited that she has found him and that he isn't forgotten because she knows where he is.

It did have pictures in it. The picture of the dead horse just showed a horse skeleton foot and the halter with the name plate.

That is all I remember, and it's driving me crazy. A part of me thinks I dreamed up this book and another part of me is sure of it. So I'm just hoping that some one might have a very small clue or hint as to what book it may be. Seriously just list off horse books! (Not the black stallion or sebiscuit please)

I appreciate any helps or leads anyone has!!!!

I'll do whatever it takes to be the mistake you can't live without.
