I'm looking for good, free, kindle books to pass the time away until I heal. Any suggestions? I'll read pretty much everything except mushy romance deals. I'm more into thriller and fantasy than anything.

1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.

We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.

I love free books. I don't read much but I have a ton on my kindle/kobo. There's a website here that has a ton of free books on it. If you sign up they will send you a daily email with some book deals. I absolutely love the website and I check it out weekly to see what new deals they have. I don't buy kindle books anywhere else anymore. You can also select authors that you like and they will help find books that you might like.

I hope you find something you like on the website.

I personally don't read ebooks but I know my local library has ebooks that you can borrow. I'm not sure if yours is the same but that might be worth looking into.

Two of the sites that are linked (and not specific to my library) are One Click Digital and Over Drive. All you need is a library card.

I highly recommend OverDrive, as Lexi mentioned. It goes by your local library. I use it to read certain things on my laptop, but I assume it would be better on a tablet. It works like a library, though. So sometimes there are wait times where someone may have requested the book first or someone else is renting it.

And while it's not "free" completely, there's an Amazon subscription thing called Kindle Unlimited (that you don't need a Kindle to use, just the Kindle reading app on a device). I pay I think essentially $10 a month for unlimited use of all the Kindle Unlimited books. I like it personally because I don't have to commit to a book if I don't like it. I'll just return it and grab another. It's a large selection compared to the completely free section. Just a thought.
