One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies - Sonya Sones. (Yes, it's the actual title.)
Elsewhere and Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac - Gabrielle Zevin.
Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you - you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past. Aliens from the future. The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: The trip of a lifetime!
Don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song that's flawless.

The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck. Honestly it's not as engaging as I thought it would be - I find myself zoning out quite a bit. Hoping it'll drag me in a bit before the end :P

Vertraute der Sehnsucht by Lara Adrian. Almost finished, yay!
"Whatever you are physically...male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy - all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside."
- Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel

The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche
The neon burns a hole in the night, and the Freon burns a hole in the sky.
You can find my kind living right on the fault line, eyes on the seaside, lives on the B-side, kites on the power lines.
