Question If you've read On the Road by Jack Kerouac - April 23rd 2011, 02:20 AM

This is kind of a long shot, but I've been pulling my hair out and figure it's worth a try. I'm writing a research paper about On the Road by Jack Kerouac. I'm trying to find this one passage I remember reading, but haven't been able to find when I re-read it. Sal is talking about America's opportunities, and how if you wait long enough a purpose/opportunity will fall into your lap.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Do you remember the page, or at least what else was going on in the story at the time?
