Angry Mad at an author? - March 2nd 2012, 04:26 AM

So in the book I am currently reading Allegiance by Cayla Kluver there is a boy named Stedlor. He is charming, has a quick temper, and jerkish. He can get his way whenever he wants even if he's being a kid about it. However he committed an act of unselfishness that is totally out of character for him. Now I know there may be a point to this change of heart but I'm mad at the author because her character development of Stedlor until now refutes this action. Anyone else having this problem with this in this book or any other?

I've never read that book, but it's definitely annoying when characters lack consistency. Just keep reading. Hopefully, there's a point to this change of heart that will be revealed later in the story.

wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.

okay, what if that act of unselfishness would give him something in return? Wouldn't that fit his character? I haven't read the book, but that's my guess.

I've said it once, I've said it twice, I've said it a thousand fucking times
That I'm OK, that I'm fine, that it's all just in my mind
But this has got the best of me, and I can't seem to sleep
It's not 'cause you're not with me, it's cause you never leave
