Favourite Harry Potter Book -
July 7th 2009, 10:28 PM
Well the film's out in a week and it's that time when I become Harry Potter obsessed. I've just finished re-reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and was wondering which book people think is the best.
I'd say my favourites are The Goblet of Fire and The Half Blood Prince. I have to say though the last book was really disappointing in my eyes and after reading a 'fake' book 7 online I really preferred the fake one and thought it fitted better with the actual story. I've tried to find this book online again but I haven't had any luck. ![]() |

The Half Blood Prince
![]() I really hope that the film doesn't ruin the book for me. I really found it the easiest to get in to and packed with everything that I love in a book! Half Blood Prince, most definitely. Most of the other books bored me to no end for the first 200 pages, which was really discouraging, but Half Blood Prince seemed to be entertaining from page 1.

I liked the half blood prince too. Though the last one I liked. The characters seemed to have grown up much more, Harry tended to bug me, especially in the Order of the Phoenix. I liked all the connecting links in the last one as well, all those loose ends tied up [:
I think I totally fell for the book after the third one, I love Sirius xD "Life is pain, anybody that says different is selling something" ~ Fezzik's Mother, The Princess Bride. ♥ "To die, would be an awfully big adventure."~ Peter Pan "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. I really liked the Half Blooded Prince. They were all really good, but this one was just alot more mature and interesting than the the rest of the books in the series. :]

The first four are my favourites. Goblet of Fire is my number one though.
My least favourite was definitely Order of the Phoenix. My favourite film so far was Prisoner of Azkaban. |

I liked the third and fourth one the most. Goblet of Fire is really good.

The Goblet Of Fire will always be my favourite book of the lot because it was the very first one I read. It will go down in my history as the first time I fell in love with Harry Potter books.

Ugh, lol, it's so hard to pick. I don't want to pick every one past 3. The first 3 were not nearly as good as the last 4. But the last 4 have been so good.

I've been boring and voted for all of the books. Since they all have their good and bad points. The good points certainly out weigh all the bad in my opinion.

I'll have to say that Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix was by far my favourite out of the bunch. I loved how much Harry got in trouble and how he was fighting for something that no one else believed in. It definitely had a lot of personally struggles. <3

Omg.
Well I picked the third one, cause I think it's so so clever. I think the first three are in their own league of their own, compared to the last four. So, split into those two leagues, my favourite's are: 3 1 2 and 4 7 5 6 Save some face... ...you know you've only got one. ![]() Blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah, Blah blah blah blah blaah. |

Philosopher's Stone and Half-Blood Prince

Love the Prisoner of Azkaban, best book and movie. (I love how this completely contradicts the person above me's post)
It's because of Sirius Black. I just thought he was so damn cool, and I always felt bad for him for getting framed by Peter Pettigrew and wanted to give him a big hug. (Lol on the other hand, I almost couldn't read Order of the Phoenix, not because it was bad, but Umbridge drove me crazzyyy) ~Where death is I am not, where I am death is not, so we never meet~ I'd rather die terrified than live forever. We will all die so gloriously, that having ever lived will seem like folly. |

I'd have to say the Prisoner of Azkaban for the story...
Buuut, I'd also have to argue that J.K. Rowling's writing skills improved dramatically over time and that the seventh book was by far the best written. I thought the seven one was much better for an older audience and I just enjoyed it more. Apart from the bits when I was crying my eyes out!
