Post Anybody read The Book Theif? - July 17th 2009, 12:49 AM

Is it really good? I was looking at it the other day on goodreads and theres alot of good reviews, but they say its a hard read. So me and my mom go to Barnes and Nobles today and I was going to read The Giver, but she saw that book and shes like I really think you should read this. It looks really good. So now I have the book. I shouldn't buy books I should go to the library, but I love new books. lol yes I'm a nerd like that. Anyways besides that what are you all reading currently? I'm just curious and bored and want some more suggestions on what books to read.

Hey, you use goodreads too? I love that site

I haven't read The Book Thief but I've heard it's really really good too, it's on my to-read shelf

Currently I'm reading Pictures from The Fire by Gaye Hicyilmaz which is really really good so far.

Also, I'd definitely recommend reading The Hunger Games it's such an amazing book!

I've read it!
It is a WONDERFUL book. Or at least I liked it. :P My English teacher recommended it to me.

Right now I'm reading Me Speak Pretty One Day. I've only read the first few pages.

I moved this thread to Sports and Entertainment, if anyone disagrees just let me know. :]

I've never read The Book Thief, but I like reading so I may check it out in the library.

We do have a "What i'm reading now" thread that you can probably find suggestions for books to read.

The Hunger Games is a TOTALLY awesome book. I'd definitely recommend that one.
The Book Thief was pretty good. Though, come to think of it, I'm not sure that I ever finished it.
But judging by, like.. the first ten chapters, it's a decent book

I've actually read The Book Thief multiple times. It's one of my all time favorite books! It's narrated by death; how cool is that? I can see why people would find it hard to read though- my sister attempted it but couldn't get far into it at all. I love it though. <3 And The Hunger Games is AMAZING!

Haven't read it but lots of my friends rant about it.

One of them even goes to sleep cuddling it apparently!
