Help in finding a book! -
August 29th 2009, 10:58 PM
Hi
I used to have this book when I was younger and now have lost it. I want to read it again but I can not for the life of me think what its called! Can anyone give me a hand? I dont know the author but... The front cover was a birds eye view of an illustrated rowing boat. In which there were supplies of food, house building materials etc and a few children. The actual story is about 4 - I think - children who were made to do alot of chores and all decided to gather together as much materials to survive as they could and run away to an island in the middle of a lake (hence the picture of the boat). The story goes on to tell you about thier everyday life on the island and problems that they encountered, how they solved them etc. In the end their parents find them and well, that was that. Heelp?? Thanks!

Lord of the Flies?
I'm reading it now. (: The main for perspectives are from four different boys, but there's about 20-30 of them that get stuck on the island after their plane blows up. "Today, we will send thirty billion emails; we will send nineteen billion text messages... And we'll still feel alone."
