What happens at this centre?
I mean good things? Or is it going to be considered a darker, perhaps scarier place?? Do you want a place name incorporated maybe? Tat said I do like Lake Meddos and North River!

Maybe you could have a contrast - different cliques of people. Some groups could have good experiences and help each other, and there could be drama in a different group. Perhaps you could write about what happens when those groups confront each other. Just an idea. Good luck with your story.

Make it like a real treatment centre. There would be people who follow the doctors and therapists advice and do well, people who pretend to follow but really don't and don't generally do well. People who try and succeed, and people who try and don't. And people who are just off their rocker and don't improve at all because they just don't seem to want to.
That's how it's always worked when I've been in in-patient treatment. ![]() And then there's always the people who resist at first, but then realize that if they want to get better they need to put some effort into it. There's actually a book I read that you reminded me of, you can maybe read it to get an idea or two? It's kind of long though... Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. It's about three teenagers who have different problems but all end up in the same treatment centre, and it follows them while they're in treatment. It discusses their past, present, future, and how each of them react to and respond to different situations while in treatment. It's not really about eating disorder, but it seems to be along the lines of what you want to write. There's over 650 pages in the book though, but it's a good read and some pages only have a few lines as it's written as kind of a journal by the three people. Well, how many Patients does it fit and what not? Because, the treatment center I go to has a residential treatment facility and they only allow 6 patients so that each patient gets the attention they deserve. Then, they have a partial hospitalization program (which is what I am in) and this program comes with a house that takes six but the partial hospitalization program can take more people...because some people do not have to live in the house (like me). Then, this program has an intensive outpatient program which is only for four hours. So, the first thing you would need to figure out, probably, is how many patients you want and all that jazz.
I can give you even more information as well. Hope this helped and isn't too mumbled. :-) Pm me or what not if you want more information. Good luck with your story. :-) There could never be amore beautiful you
Don't buy the lies, disguisesandhoops they make you jump through You were made tofill a purposethat only you could do So there could never be amore beautiful you -Johnny Diaz Everyday is so wonderful And suddenly it's hard to breathe Now and then I get insecure From all the pain, I feel so ashamed I am beautiful no matter what they say Words can't bring me down I am beautiful in every single way Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no So don't you bring me down today To all your friends you're delirious So consumed in all your doom Tryin' hard to fill the emptiness, the piece is gone Left the puzzle undone, ain't that the way it is? 'Cause you are beautiful no matter what they say Words can't bring you down, oh no You are beautiful in every single way Yes, words can't bring you down, oh no So don't you bring me down today -Christina Aguilera |

OMG YEAH! Keep writing. I love your story. I am so hooked.
Ok. So a treatment center. From the way your story is going it would have about 20 people or so, I'm guessing, but if it doesn't, don't worry. You know best! Most either feel like a hospital or a home. Hospital ones are kind of bleak, not a lot going on. The residential homes ones kind of feel like a giant house. Lol. Let me how I can help you! |

I doubt there would be a treatment centre with "eating disorder treatment centre" in the name. then again, that is based off names I've seen in books. Actually, would it even have "treatment centre" in the name? I could see having centre though... like New Hope Centre or something.
