Favorite books? - January 18th 2010, 09:22 PM

I've read things like Harry Potter, The Kite Runner, and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.
I'm looking for some new books to read!

Due to something that happened to me a few years back, I'm uncomfortable reading things with romance, so PLEASE nothing romantic!

I prefer adult books to teen, but anything goes!

Thanks

Here are four of my faves.

The first one is about a women who has tried to kill herself severeal years ago and was hospitalied. She has a daughter and is married until the both walk in on him having an affair and split up. Then, Faith, their daughter starts seeing someone who see refers to as her guard, and people start to realize shes talking to god, and that she can heal people. At the same time, the parents are fighting for custody.

The second one is really lovely, and is about a girl fighting cancer. She has several things she wants to do before she dies.

The third one is about a women, who's niece suffers from anorexia. This one is a true story and really heart touching

The fourth one, waves, is a bit complcated to explain to be honest.
