I think the books are amazing. Much better than the movies. And I see a lot of myself in Bella. Actually, a lot of my life can be related to those book.

I have a difficult relationship with Twilight. I thought the books and movies were fine, I think the crazy hype ruined it for me though.

I love twilight. I think the whole hype (like the person above me said) ruined it for me. I think the writing was amateur but the whole story was beautiful.

I liked it before it was popular. Then so many people starting becoming obsessed with it because of the movie coming out, even though the book was so much better! I don't like when there are girls who act like the characters are real...because they aren't. Like they talk about the characters like they're real and have intense Jacob/Edward debates like it's the most important thing in the world . Foolish in my opinion to get that riled up over a book .
As for the whole Edward vs. Jacob thing, I used to prefer Edward, but now I prefer Jacob. His character is more fun. He's Bella's best friend in the book. And I think friendship is important in a relationship. And guys who make you laugh=perfect. So are guys who you have fun with. Edward's character is extremely serious.
But, damn, I'm starting to debate over Twilight, just like I said I didn't like. Ooops.

I liked the first book, but after that it was just--ugh. All of Bella's self-pitying, "woe-is-me" crap just got so irritating after awhile that I gave up on finishing the second book. I don't like the characters, I don't like the story, I just--I don't like it. That's all there is to it.

I haven't read the book but I have seen the film (first one only). It's often said the movies are worse than the books but in this case, seeing as how awful and nearly petrifying due to how horrible the movie was, I ask myself, how horrible is the book? But to be fair, I skimmed through part of the book, never bought it though. 'Nuff said, I think it's one of the worst movies to ever be released, however, it's saving grace is that others are worse than it, so it's doesn't take the cake for being top shittiest in my view. It's close though.

I hated the movie (I haven't seen the 2nd movie but I'm guessing it's no better), it almost bored me to tears. I haven't fully read the first book but from what I have read it's a whole lot better than the movie, that's not saying a lot though. The characters are just as bland as pieces of paper to me >.> Bella is the most boring/annoying character I've ever seen :/

I never got into the books. Tbh I hadn't even heard of them until I came on this site and saw lots of threads about them. Then suddenly half of my year at school was reading them.
I didn't see the movie and in the trailer the acting looked kinda crap. I must say that the trailer for New Moon looked much better than the trailer for the first one. I probably won't ever read the books but if the movie comes on telly I might watch it if there's nothing else on/I can't be bothered to find the channel changer.

Loved Twilight until Breaking Dawn, which was horribly written. Saw Twilight and New Moon in the theaters with my friends just for kicks. No longer a fan of that series..

I thought they were alright, I wouldn't say the books were the best things in the world but they were okay until all the hype and fangirls and people going OMG I'M GONNA MARRY EDWARD and all that crap. My sister is one of them, drives me nuts. Most younger girls also can't see that Edward is a complete control-freak! He's quite horrible to Bella, really. He pretty much dictates her entire life. That's why I'll always be Team Jacob- he's so much nicer to her and is so much a better support.

The movies are pretty good in their own right. Filmically and stuff, I like them, especially Twilight. New Moon is alright but not as good I don't think. But the story lines and still a bit off.

And the end of Breaking Dawn SUCKS. I mean... WTF?!?!?

I'm pretty sure I remember Jacob forcing himself on Bella in like, Eclipse.

And I agree, Breaking Dawn makes me want to punch somebody. I wish it was possible to un-read a book.
