I had to send a letter to an author last year for a school project. I sent a letter to Laurie Faria Stolarz, the author of Project 17, one of my favorite books. My mom just handed me a letter that she had sent back.

That's exciting!!! Good for you! Once I sent a letter to Judy Blume in fourth grade and she never replied ): haha. Last year, my class and I either sent letters to Bill Gates or someone who is successful and of course, he did not reply but the other one did. I want to send a letter to Sarah Dessen but she probably won't reply either.
