I'm writing a short story. It's called 'Finding Canvas', but I doubt I'll ever finish it.

I find i have very descriptive dreams.. so what i have been doing lately is taking the dreams i have and twisting them into writen stories. Sometimes ill change it around alittle but most of the time i dont have to because once i write down what the dream was i feel as though changing it corrupts the story

Ye I'm trying to write a book but I got 50 pages in then dried up, I guess I just need to wait for inspiration - even if it's a load of rubbish it's nice to have something to work on!

I'm trying to write a book, 3 actually, but everytime I seem to get halfway done, my mind is blocked and I have no idea how to continue

I don't ever seem to be able to complete a story. After a while, they're left to sit there, sans endings. Right now, I'm devoting myself to revamping and completing a fanfiction I first wrote up years ago. It's something to do and it keeps me writing.

All of you with your short stories and.. did I hear NOVELS? You're amazingly inspiring. I'll purchase your books!

Yay! I can't help feeling pretentious when I say I write novels, but if it's over 40,000 words that's what it's called, so oh well.
At the moment I'm writing my blog, which is failing terribly. But if I have time later I'm going to do some story writing.

I am attempting to write a book/story/whatever you want to call it.
I just write whatever comes into my mind at the time. It's not got any order to it yet..
Even I don't know how it's going to end or what's going to happen

But it is basically from the point of view of Katie and Matt. They meet eachother.. fall in love blah blah blah ..
I guess we'll see how it turns out

I'm in a creative writing class, so I'm currently writing a lot of poems and short stories. I'm also just writing random bits of prose. Our current assignment is a portfolio about things we believe, memories, and things that make us who we are.

And ahh, well, I'm not actually writing anything at the moment, but this is a great idea for a thread. Anyone else find that they occasionally find themselves writing 'flash fiction'? Like, I was lying in bed the other night, and was picturing a fantasy city in my head and stuff, so I ended up writing a few page long description of it, how it works and what it's like, all told from the point of view of an old character of mine who's watching from a balcony. I'm finding however, that I havn't the time to write short stories or anything due to bloody uni work, so I'm using most of my creativity for roleplaying and stuff >.>.

I'm writing novel number 3? This one I hope may get published someday, but I have a strong dislike for my own writing, so maybe not.

Wow I'm surprised at the amount of writers we have.

Currently I'm finishing edits on my first novel and sending it out to get published *fingers crossed* (roughly 105k words so it's rather small)
And writing out the sequel (same size hopefully)

So, I was thinking since we have so many writers here why not help eachother out?

There might already be something like this and if so please disregard it and point me in the right direction.

A writers circle? Basically a place for people to help one another in their writing/grammar/whatever. I see a few people wanting to get published (special congrats to Rie, third novel? My God, awesome work) and maybe a community writers circle or even a joint community writing project for those that want to sign up might be good?

I dunno, just ideas.
